A site dedicated to keeping you informed about all of the happenings with the UHSPAC. The Union High School Performing Arts Company is one of the strongest arts training programs in the state of New Jersey. The UHSPAC is inclusive of an award winning theatre department, a nationally rated instrumental music program, and a top notch choral music group.

The Theater Department has received many nominations and awards in the Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star awards competition, a yearly competition that recognizes excellence in Musical Theater throughout the state of New Jersey. Awards received include: Best Overall Musical; Best Direction; Best Musical Direction ; Best Chorus; Best Orchestra (2x); Best Scenery (4x); Best Graphic Design (3x); Best Leading Actress (3x); Best Supporting Actor; Best Hair and Make-up Design; and Best Ensemble Group.

The Union High School Marching Band and Color Guard is recognized on the local, regional, and national level. In November 2002, the band captured the USSBA Group II Open Championships and was awarded the highest score in Group II Open competitive history. Other awards include: Group III Open Award for Best Music Performance 2003; Color Guard named regional and state champions 2004; in 2009 Marching Band placed 2nd out of more than sixty-five bands in the All-States Group Three Open Championships winning the caption “Best Overall Effect”. In spring 2008, the marching band and color guard competed in the Anaheim California Heritage Festival. Both the color guard and the marching band were awarded first place with superior ratings. Performing groups were also awarded the Festival Sweepstakes Championship Award.

The Swing Choir has won annual nationwide competitions for the past fifteen consecutive years with 1st place - Gold-Superior ratings. Swing Choir placed in the top 5% throughout the United States and Canada and has performed in both Disneyland and Disney World.
