MONDAY, APRIL 19, 2010 PREPARATION DAY
3:00 pm ALL Marching Band Members MUST report to the Band Room with instruments to PACK EQUIPMENT onto the truck. NO EXCEPTIONS! This also applies to flute and clarinet players who are to pack their instruments in their luggage.
6:00 – 7:00 pm All luggage/garment bags must be brought to the HS, Vocal Music room, (A-109) to be tagged and checked in. You must be PROMPT. We will NOT stay past 7 pm (then your belongings will not be going to Florida).
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21, 2010 DEPARTURE & ARRIVAL DAY!
6:30 am Report to A-109 for attendance and departure to ORLANDO via Continental Airlines Flight #692 (approx 11 am take-off time). 1:30 pm Arrive at in Orlando. Proceed to EPCOT theme park. You will need some money to purchase food at the park. (landing time approximate) 8:30 pm All students must meet in the World Showcase for Illuminations fireworks display! 10:00 pm Check-in at HAMPTON INN and SUITES. Unpack equipment, luggage and hang up all uniforms and costumes. This has been a long day. Get some sleep!!!!!!!
THURSDAY, APRIL 22, 2010
7:00 am Breakfast at the hotel. We will be spending the day in the hot Florida sun, please eat breakfast and WEAR SUNSCREEN. 8:00 am Begin boarding buses for departure to Disney’s Blizzard Beach. 12:00 pm Lunch in Blizzard Beach (please bring some cash for lunch). 4:00 pm Return to hotel to shower and change for dinner. 7:00 pm Board buses for Disney’s Polynesian Luau dinner show at the Polynesian Hotel. After dinner Depart for the hotel. We compete tomorrow. Lay out/iron/prepare all costumes, put together anything you need to compete. Get a good nights rest. SLEEP!!! You will need it!!!
FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 2010 FESTIVAL DISNEY COMPETITION
ALL UNIFORMS, COSTUMES AND INSTRUMENTS MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU FROM THE HOTEL THIS MORNING.
BE SURE TO BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHING AND SUNSCREEN FOR AFTER THE COMPETITION.
REMEMBER TO BE ON YOUR BEST BEHAVIOR AND SUPPORTIVE OF ALL PERFORMING GROUPS. YOU ARE REPRESENTING UHS.
DON’T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN!!!! Its Florida people!!!!
7:00 am Breakfast at the hotel. You must eat a good breakfast before competing! 7:30 am Board buses and depart for The Contemporary Hotel. 10:00 am Depart for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Concert Band and Indoor Color Guard will be performing inside the park. 11:00 am Concert Band assembles for warm-up. 11:40 am Concert Band performance. 2:00 pm All members will meet at the park entrance to proceed to The Contemporary Hotel for swing choir performance. 3:00 pm Swing Choir warm up session. 3:25 pm Swing Choir performance in the Ballroom of the Americas at The Contemporary Hotel. 4:00 pm After the competition, we will spend the remainder of the day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You will be getting one meal coupon for lunch or dinner. Please make sure you bring a little cash if you want to buy snacks in the park. You don’t need a lot, but make sure you have some. Guard members: remember you still have to compete! (Meal coupon for lunch/dinner included) 6:20 pm Indoor Guard assembles for warm-up. 7:20 pm Indoor Guard performance. 8:30 pm (approximate time) Assemble in front of the Tower of Terror for Fantasmic! This is an awesome fireworks/extravaganza that closes the park each night. We will meet at 8:30 outside the Tower of Terror. Make sure you get food and ride all the attractions before 8:30 because there is no excuse for being late. “I was eating” or “I was waiting on line for a ride” is not an excuse to be late for this activity. (10 PM showing) Board buses for return to hotel immediately following Fantasmic!.

7:00 am Breakfast served at the hotel. 8:00 am Depart for Magic Kingdom. We will be spending most of the day at Magic Kingdom. You will be getting one meal coupon for lunch or dinner. Please make sure you bring a little cash if you want to buy other snacks in the park. You don’t need a lot, but make sure you have some. And bring the sunscreen people!!!! 4:00 pm Depart Magic Kingdom for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The award ceremony for Festival Disney will be held in Hollywood Studios. We will arrive at Hollywood Studios to attend the ceremony. 8:00 pm Arrive at Hollywood Studios to attend Festival Disney award ceremony.
You must pack tonight and CLEAN your rooms tonight. All rooms will be inspected by your chaperones. We are leaving early tomorrow morning for UNIVERSAL STUDIOS.
SUNDAY, APRIL 25, 2010 DEPARTURE DAY! UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!

6:30 - 7:30 am Breakfast served at the hotel. 8:00 am Room Check-Out. Check to make sure you have everything! 8:15 am Load luggage onto truck and board buses for departure. 8:30 am Depart hotel for UNIVERSAL STUDIOS. You will be getting a meal ticket for lunch. Make sure you have a little cash on hand to purchase snacks in the park or food at the airport. Make sure to eat a meal before we leave the park, as the airline only serves a small snack. 5:00 pm Begin boarding buses for departure to Orlando International Airport. 8:15 pm Depart Orlando and continue home via Continental Airlines Flight #493. 11:30 pm Approximate arrival time at UHS. Have your ride waiting. Everyone must stay and unload the equipment!
